Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

Implement cutting-edge AI models in real business operations alongside leading Japanese companies to achieve AI-native business transformation. Build production systems that are embedded in operations and continuously generate results, not just PoCs. Responsible for technical leadership in LLM/generative AI utilization for strategic clients, identifying client challenges, designing technical scope and architecture, end-to-end implementation from prototype construction to production environment deployment, collaboration with client engineers and business departments, proposing improvements based on model evaluation (Eval), and coordinating with OpenAI and SB OAI Japan's Product/Research/Security teams. Responsibilities include designing and implementing generative AI systems in client environments (cloud/on-premises), RAG, agent design, workflow automation, prompt design, evaluation design, establishing quality improvement cycles, full-stack development including API/backend/frontend, implementation design that meets security/governance requirements, technical explanations and implementation support for client management and department heads, and templating success patterns and creating reusable assets.
