Job description
This job involves handling administrative procedures with various government agencies based on requests from domestic and international shipping companies for vessel general agency services in Japan, and supporting the smooth berthing/unberthing and safe navigation of domestic and international cruise ships.
- Reporting on arrangements to clients and ship captains (primarily via email: using English)
- Arranging pilots, tugboats, mooring gangs, cargo handling, etc.
- Booking berths at ports within Okinawa Prefecture and carrying out various application procedures with government agencies such as Customs, Quarantine Station, Immigration Bureau, Japan Coast Guard, etc.
- Visiting vessels to discuss with crew members (communication in English)
- Responding to ship orders (arranging crew changes, ship supplies, etc.) "Scope of change: Duties as determined by the company"

- Reporting on arrangement status to clients and vessels (primarily via email: English used)
- Arranging pilots, tugboats, mooring services, cargo handling, etc.
- Booking berths at ports within Okinawa Prefecture and carrying out various application procedures with government agencies such as customs, quarantine stations, immigration bureaus, and the Japan Coast Guard.
- Visiting vessels to hold meetings with crew members (communication in English)
- Responding to orders from vessels (arranging crew changes, and sometimes arranging hospital visits, etc.) Experience in vessel agency operations is preferred. This is a global job where you can utilize your English skills through communication with foreign crew members, and it is a rewarding job where you support vessels through teamwork during vessel operations.
